Leadership

Joseph has over 20 years of medical device experience and has held leadership roles in commercialization and research & development at Arthrex, Zyga, and Medtronic, where he was Segment Leader of Spinal Advanced and Enabling Technologies and led Global Commercialization for the Atrial Fibrillation Division. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, and a Master of Science in Engineering Management from the University of Texas Austin.

Trevor is a passionate engineer, product designer, and maker. He studied mechanical engineering and product design at the University of Minnesota, where he trained at the Earl E. Bakken Medical Devices Center on the Medical Device Innovation Process. He is a Co-Founder of CoCreateX, a company dedicated to empowering collaborative innovation.

Jimmy has over 25 years of experience in various finance and accounting roles and has served as CFO for several companies across a variety of industries. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame.

Jack has worked in regulatory, quality, and clinical services within the medical device and diagnostics industry for nearly 40 years. In 2004, Jack founded Methodize Inc., to offer strategic support for approval of medical devices and in vitro diagnostics products.

Board of Directors

Dr. Kevin Foley is a Professor of Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic Surgery, and Biomedical Engineering at the University of Tennessee, and is the Chairman at Semmes Murphey Clinic. He is recognized as a pioneer of minimally invasive spinal surgery, has authored more than 125 scientific publications, and is a prolific inventor, with over 150 issued patents.

Dr. Koh is a Clinical Professor at the University of Chicago and the Director and Chair of the Orthopaedic & Spine Institute at NorthShore-the Chicago area's only orthopaedic hospital. An internationally-recognized expert in sports medicine, he (trained at MGH, HSS, and the Cleveland Clinic), and received his MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He has served as a consultant and advisor to multiple medical device companies, and is a founding member of the Northwestern University Center for Advanced Regenerative Engineering.

Dan has over 30 years of experience in various healthcare industries with positions bridging from Sales, Marketing, and Business Development. He is the co-founder of eight healthcare service and technology companies. Dan received his degree in Pharmacy from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa and he maintains his Registered Pharmacist status.

Jim was named Global President of ZimmerBiomet Spine in 2019. Prior to joining ZimmerBiomet, Jim was the Chief Commercial Officer for Synaptive Medical, and successfully led various businesses including Biomet Spine, where he held complex roles within the Spinal and Biologic division. Previously, he served as VP and GM of Medtronic Navigation.

Paul is a seasoned med-tech executive with over 30 years of experience in sales and marketing. He has successfully commercialized novel diagnostic and therapeutic innovations that improve patient outcomes and create shareholder value. He is currently the VP of Global Strategic Marketing for Medtronic’s Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure division.

Dr. Azar is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He is the Chief of Staff at the Campbell Clinic, as well as a Professor and Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship program in the University of Tennessee- Campbell Clinic Department of Orthopaedic Surgery & Biomedical Engineering. For more than 20 years, Dr. Azar has been a volunteer within the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), where he formerly served as President.

Dr. Nelson is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Minnesota Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, and serves as the Medical Director of the TRIA Research & Education Institute. Dr. Nelson also serves as the Medical Director of The University of Minnesota Athletics, and he’s the Team Physician for the Minnesota Wild.

Dr. Safran is a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Stanford University, where he is also the Chief of the division of Sports Medicine and Fellowship Director of Sports Medicine. Dr. Safran has served as President of the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy, and is currently serving as President of ISAKOS—the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
